The attractive, 27-story, apartment building at 300 East 64^th Street on the southeast corner at Second Avenue was erected as a rental by RFR, of which Aby Rosen was president in 1996. It was converted in 2015 to a condominium building by 300 East 64^th St. Partners LLC, of which Mr. Rosen is a partner.

The building has 103 apartments.

SLCE was the original architect and Stonehill & Taylor and Meg Sharpe did the conversion.

Bottom Line

Many bay windows in this 27-story tower setback on a base next to a cinema that is not too far from Bloomingdale’s.

Description

The orange-brick-clad tower with large corner bay windows is set back on a five-story base.  The first floor has a rusticated stone façade and there is a mid-block, two-story movie theater to the south of the tower.

Amenities

The building has a 24-hour doorman/concierge and corner windows, a large, landscaped roof deck, a fitness center, a children’s playroom, a bicycle room, a lounge with wet bar and game tables, and a very large, sleek and handsome laundry room.

Apartments

Kitchens have stainless-steel refrigerators by Liebherr, Bosch stainless steel ovens and cooktops and dishwashers and Grohe single-lever sink faucets as well as black pearl granite countertops with opera glass backsplashes. 

Bathrooms have Thassos or Bottacino marble baths with walnut vanities and ToTo commodes and Robern cabinets with side light fixtures.  Many units have deep soaking tubs and separable marble-clad stall showers.

Apartment C on the 10^th through the 23^rd floors has a 20-foot-long living room adjacent to a 10-foot-long dining room with a large bay window group and an open kitchen, and a 17-foot-wide bedroom with a large bay window group. 

Apartment D on the 9^th through the 20^th and the 22^nd and 23^rd floors is a one-bedroom unit with an entry foyer and a 21-foot-long living dining room with a large bay window group.
