The Delegate, 301 East 45th Street: Review and Ratings

between Second Avenue & First Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 301 East 45th Street by Carter Horsley

This 21-story, 114-unit building was designed by Philip Birnbaum Associates for Jack Resnick & Sons and completed in 1979 and converted to a condominium in 1985.

It has a sundeck, a bicycle room, a concierge, video security and storage space, but no garage and health club.

The building's lackluster, utilitarian façade has a vertical emphasis that is neatly tucked under a plain cornice and the ground floor is nicely faced in travertine.

Close to the United Nations, the UN Plaza Hotel, Tudor City and the Ford Foundation Building, this once amorphous area has been steadily improving and offers the convenience of a central location.
