"Trump World Tower, the tallest residential building in the city when it was completed in 2001, created a major controversy over the fact that it was much taller than the United Nations Secretariat Building.

This monolithic, 861-foot-high, 72-story building at 845 United Nations Plaza on First Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets, is expected to be surpassed in height by One57, a 1,002-foot-high mixed-use tower at 157 West 57th Street across from Carnegie Hall that is being built by Extell Development and scheduled for completion in 2013." "Modern glass high rise. You weither like the architecture or not. I personally like the architecture. NO roof deck for obvious reasons (height of the building). The health club is very nice. On all of the occassions that I have been there it has never been too crowded. It is well taken care of and is very nice. There is a pool in the health club which is also very nice. The lobby is impressive. Marble....big chandelier....very high ceiling. Within 2 blocks from crosstown bus service. Bus to UES within a block, and a short walk to the downtown bus on Second Avenue. Short walk to either Grand Central Station or the 53rd Street subway station (not right around the corner). There is on-site parking!"

"Built by the Trump Organization; Costas Kondylis was the architecht. Building caters mostly to the international market, including heads of state and diplomats. Building amenities include a private driveway on the west side of the property; a private garden for residents and a health club and spa with a 60-foot long pool. There is a four-star full service catering restaurant, Megu, and the World Bar on the premises. One of Trump's finest developments, a legendary icon. Although built in 2001, the building has maintained a consistent level of quality and service, surpassing some of the newer developments in the area. 2007: Awarded the New York High-Rise Development and National High-Rise Development at the International Property Awards.
